The OPUS KLASSIK weekend 2025
The date for the OPUS KLASSIK weekend has been set: the OPUS KLASSIK concert will take place on 11 October and the OPUS KLASSIK Gala in Berlin on 12 October. Tickets are expected to go on sale in July. Further information will be available here soon.
Start of submission period 2025
Projects can now be submitted for the OPUS KLASSIK 2025. The music prize, which honours outstanding musical achievements in the field of classical music, will be awarded in 30 categories. The deadline for submissions is 31 March 2025.
NEWFor the first time, concert formats and artistic achievements at live events will be honoured in five categories. All new features and information on the categories and submission guidelines can be found here.

The Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Klassischen Musik gemeinnützige GmbH is being founded
The Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Klassischen Musik gGmbH , which will now take over the organisation of OPUS KLASSIK, is currently in the process of being founded. Burkhard Glashoff, Managing Director, emphasises: ‘As heterogeneous as the circle of shareholders is, we are united by a common cause: to represent classical music life in Germany in all its diversity and, in particular, to offer young artists a powerful platform.’ Further information can be found here.
The OPUS KLASSIK weekend 2024
Atmospheric concerts, a flurry of flashbulbs on the red carpet and a warm get-together of prizewinners, visitors and industry representatives - that was the OPUS KLASSIK weekend on 12 and 13 October at the Kühlhaus and Konzerthaus Berlin! The OPUS KLASSIK 2024 award winners were celebrated with performances by Lang Lang and Gina Alice, Anastasia Kobekina, Avi Avital, Gautier Capuçon, Efrat Alony, Alexandra Stréliski and many more!
